Sara is not only a talented artist in our community, she’s a fellow entrepreneur and an important strategic partner with the company. Through Sara’s vast art community network, she actively spreads the word on the Home Frosting’s staging with fine art and art rental programs, enlisting more great talent and helping to build our art offerings.
Sara’s painting style has progressed from traditional watercolor to abstract impressionism. She continues to study and apply new techniques to her portfolio inspired by the great artists of our time.
Her story is the classic. A fifteen-year sales executive cashing out to pursue a lifelong dream of immersing herself in art. Armed with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Master’s level courses in Economics, Marketing, and Business Law she set out to see if the ‘starving artist’ persona was legend or law. Surrounded by retirees who have been painting and dragging tents around the country for more than 20 years, she listened and observed. “Art’s just not selling,” they said. “Nobody is selling,” was the mantra. Yet when she researched the auction houses, Sotheby’s had a record year and not just from deceased artists’ work. “Somebody is selling,” she thought.
In 2012 she began to produce art marketing workshops and conduct coaching for area artists on how to understand their market. Through that endeavor came an opportunity to be an art partner and vendor to municipalities. Her company is called “Galleries On The Go”. Sara and team are bridging the gap between the artist’s need for space to exhibit and city’s initiatives to provide artwork and culture at no cost to the taxpayers.
