Home Frosting completes re-brand with new location and showroom in South Tampa.
March 22, 2024 – For the past 8 years Home Frosting was one of Tampa’s leading home staging and luxury rental firms. The company worked with notable professional hockey players like Pat Maroon and Ryan McDonagh, to actor, and musician Harry Connick Jr., who filmed several movies in Tampa Bay, and contributed to selling over half a billion dollars of residential real estate.

Post-pandemic housing inventory shortages and the influx of people moving from the Northeast and Midwest to Tampa changed the landscape and fueled the hot home furnishing, design, and remodeling sector.

“We welcomed the market shift and the explosive home improvement market as our business strategy for growth was evolving in the same way,” said Karen Post, President of Home Frosting.

“We were also fortunate that our W. Waters warehouse lease allowed us to sub-lease the space, while we looked for the perfect location in South Tampa and re-positioned the company from a real estate staging one into a full-service luxury interior design company.”

Finding the right commercial location was challenging as unique buildings with ample parking and visibility were scarce. Karla Dorsey and Kristen Richards, both from Compass, spearheaded the search and handled the leasing details.

In December Home Frosting established its new office at 3603 W Azeele (formerly Leopold’s music school). This commercially zoned building provided a historic 1949 South Tampa residential building aesthetic that aligned with the luxury homeowners market that the company serves.

Extensive lease-hold improvements were undertaken so the location could serve not only as a studio, but also as a showroom to display bathroom and kitchen finishes, hardware, cabinets, countertops, and be a retail boutique with home accessories and accent furniture. The showroom is open to the public on Fridays only from 10-6 PM and other days by appointment.

Tampa Bay continues to enjoy a robust economy as the area is cited as one of the best cities to live in the US by numerous media outlets.

Home Frosting was founded in 2016 by Karen Post and Eric Vogt. Today the firm provides interior design and decorating, new construction planning, renovations, window treatments, furnishings, art, and home accessories.
