I know it’s been a while since you’ve heard from us. We’ve been hard at work bringing our new design studio and showroom to South Tampa. We are beyond excited about our new home. In fact, it’s a dream come true.
For 18 months, we’ve been moving away from staging and focusing on our true passion, high-end, residential interior design and decorating.
Last year we temporarily moved our offices to a Palma Ceia house while we searched for the perfect location. We wanted a place with character, one where we could meet with clients and suppliers, ample parking for special events, an inspiring workspace, some retail, and showrooms to share design ideas, finishes, window treatments, fabrics, and fixtures.
In October, we found the most awesome spot. Located at 3603 W Azeele at Himes (for the past 10 years, it was The Leopold School of Music) and checked off all of our wish boxes and more.
Over 22,000 cars drive by the showroom daily, we will soon have permanent signage, we have a super sample room filled with textiles, tiles and wall coverings too.
We are 93% complete. We are just waiting for our kitchen cabinets and our stone counter tops and some final fixtures.
By Feb. 15th the studio will be officially opened, daily by appointment, and every Friday, we will celebrate life and great home design by opening the showroom to the public from 10-6PM. We will coin this day Frosting Friday, you can shop for that perfect accessory, piece of art or pillows, or just come by to say hi.
In the midst of our office move, we been busier that ever with client’s projects too. A special one who we will certainly miss is former Tampa Bay Bolts Lighting player, Ondřej Palát (who got traded to New Jersey).
The home was a stately Davis Island estate. Spanning almost 7,000 sq ft, the waterfront home had 6 bedrooms. Our assignment was to show buyers how the exterior style could be updated to a more modern, less Mediterranean look and to showcase the interior beauty.
Re-imaging home exteriors is one of our favorite types of projects. This transformative process takes about 2 weeks and includes a construction estimate to execute our plan. With some key cosmetic edits, like lighting, adding a new brick texture and doors, and a budget of around $200,000 we gave this traditional home a completely fresh modern look.
If you are thinking it’s time to re face your exterior, we’d love to learn more, share our vision and make it happen.
Until next time,
