Karen Post is CEO and lead designer of Home Frosting.
Since forming the company she’s earned a solid reputation as a bright, “loves life” and talented designer who transforms spaces into delicious home experiences.

Karen’s style is clean, intentional and confident. A good listener, a forever optimist, with a curious mind of all possibilities, her work is the right balance and mix of color, texture, form and function. Her business acumen, leadership and global adventures add to the value she provides clients.

A visionary and master problem solver, Karen starts everything she touches, with a simple question, “what is the end goal?”. This way of thinking keeps projects on schedule, on budget and everyone focused the desired results.

A sought-after Tampa interior designer and tastemaker, Karen is an HGTV designer, a regular home décor expert on DaytimeTV, a nationally syndicated show, along with the FOX network and she is a broadcast and content contributor to National Association of Realtors. Her insight has been featured in many international news media including: The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, CNN, Bloomberg, along with many regional venues.

Her inspiration comes from getting to know her clients and their values, and their unique needs. She’s stays abreast of the latest trends, technologies and resources by attending top furniture markets and being connected to world markets.

Karen’s career started in Texas where she studied fashion and worked with top luxury brands as a visual merchandiser. Later, she founded an advertising agency and then became an international branding expert, addressing audiences around the globe on visual design/perception, branding and entrepreneurship. She is also twice-published business author of Brain Tattoos (AMACOM) and Brand Turnaround (McGraw Hill).

Alyssa Maria Rodemsky

Alyssa Maria Rodemsky is a (LEAD*) project manager + design assistant with an immense passion for curated homes.

Understanding client’s personal stories and celebrating their unique expression drives her contributions on all aspects of design and construction projects. Her extreme organizational and people skills ensure she and the Home Frosting team are always delivering an amazing client experience.

Originally from the crossroads of the Blue Ridge Mountains and our nation’s capital, Warrenton, VA, Alyssa’s love for luxe and beautiful home decor started at an early age with an affinity for old world design, art, antiques, and one-of-a kind treasures.

Prior to joining Home Frosting, Alyssa managed wholesale and retail brands within the luxury home decor, handcrafted furniture, and premium flooring industries. Her responsibilities entailed: research, budget management, digital marketing, customer relations and creative problem solving.

Alyssa graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in fashion marketing and management while competing in the women’s soccer program on a full athletic scholarship. Her studies across global campuses in US, Europe and Asia expanded her knowledge and admiration of world history, architecture, and diverse cultures.

When Alyssa is not managing complex projects you will find her spending time with her family, cooking a killer tuna steak or enjoying one of her favorite comedy artists.

Johann Patino – Craftsman, building services
Johann (JP) has never met a home improvement challenge he did not love. A fanatical problem solver, JP has been in the construction services industry for over 40 years.

Born in Caldas, Columbia, he earned his degree in mechanical engineering at SENA University. JP started his career working with commercial construction company that specialized in building theaters and conference centers. There he was exposed to every detail of construction and worked with master craftsman in all project disciplines.

In 2000, JP came to United States and continued his education and skill development. Certified in electrical, plumbing, AC, welding and framing, he has led and or contributed to hundreds of residential projects ranging from simple home improvements to complex assignments that included design, project management and turn-key building services. His experience covers diverse and unique homes, from historical properties to contemporary construction that requires smart home technologies and fully automated systems.

When JP is not working on home improvement projects, he is feeding his forever curious mind or seeking a new adventure flying a plane/helicopter or paragliding off a mountain.


Erin Tompkins – procurement and administration manager
Next to stellar administrator and buyer in the dictionary you will find Erin, Home Frosting’s mega-organized, always cheery, and important back-bone of our studio operations. Prior to joining Home Frosting, Erin excelled in customer service and compliance for a national paint company and regional distribution organization.  When Erin is not hard at work helping make homes delicious, and sometimes juggling balls of fire, she’s exploring Tampa with her family or spending time with her many four-legged fur babies.


Eric Dorety – logistics manager
After working with top national furniture brands for over twenty years, Eric manages Home Frosting’s design studio facility, fleet of trucks, project logistics and all craftsman services.

A master problem solver and skilled home improvement expert, Eric’s always calm demeanor and extensive home furnishing experience is great asset to our customer experience team. Whether working with the Home Frosting in-house professionals or outside specialist partners, he ensures all project details are delivered on time, run smoothly and are accident free.

Lincoln Vogt
Lincoln is an important member of the Home Frosting team. He too loves luxury items and fine food. When he’s not chasing squirrels or napping, he is working hard on earning his masters in good behavior. No matter what, he can always be counted on to remind the team that life and work should always be fun.
