Home Frosting Karen Showroom

Karen Post – president and lead designer

Since forming the company in 2016, Karen has earned a reputation as a bright, “loves life,” and talented interior designer and home decorator who thoughtfully creates spaces into delightful and delicious home experiences.

Her core style is clean, purposeful, and strikes just the right balance of form, flow, and function.

An extremely creative, forever optimist with a curious mind about all possibilities – her home design work mixes old and new elements, color, texture, and pattern, resulting in an aesthetic that is a reflection of the client’s lifestyle, vision, and story.

She starts her design process with a simple question, “what is the end goal?” This way of thinking keeps projects on schedule and budget and ensures everyone is focused on the desired end result.

A sought-after Tampa interior designer and tastemaker – Karen is a regular contributor to Tampa Bay Times, The Bay Magazine, a 4-color stand-alone publication that covers luxury style, fashion, home décor, travel, and social goings on in the Bay area.

Karen has also been featured on HGTV, NBC’s nationally syndicated show, Daytime TV, and our local FOX network. She is also a broadcast and content contributor for the National Association of Realtors, and her work has appeared in Architectural Digest, Tampa Bay Magazine, and The Dupont Registry among other media outlets.

A lifetime student, Karen has studied the masters of architecture and design, art and style history, construction, lighting, and color principles and theory, as well as innovations in building, materials, and finishes. She stays abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and resources by attending top furniture markets, continuing education, and through her rich network of US and world suppliers.

Her career started in Texas after studying fashion and working as a visual merchandiser for top luxury brands. Later, she founded an advertising agency and then became an international branding expert, addressing audiences around the globe on visual design/perception, branding, and entrepreneurship. She is also a twice-published business author of “Brain Tattoos” (AMACOM) and “Brand Turnaround” (McGraw Hill).

Karen and Home Frosting are supported by a full team of professionals including an administrative assistant, a bookkeeper, design associates and a craftsman who has never met a challenge he did not love and many specialists in trade and design fields.

When she is not thinking about a design project, which is a very rare moment, she loves enjoying culinary, art, sports, and travel adventures with her husband, Eric Vogt, and when possible with their four-legged Shichon, Lincoln.

Home Frosting, Karen Post and Eric Vogt are dedicated supporters of Tampa’s Jesuit high school and many local community organizations.

Lincoln the design dog

Lincoln Vogt
Lincoln is an important member of the Home Frosting team. He too loves luxury items and fine food. When he’s not chasing squirrels or napping, he is working hard on earning his master’s in good behavior. No matter what, he can always be counted on to remind the team that life and work should always be fun.
