Home Frosting Karen Showroom

Karen Post – president and lead designer

Since forming the company in 2016, Karen has earned a reputation as a bright, “loves life,” and talented designer and home decorator who thoughtfully creates spaces into delightful home experiences.

Her core style is clean, purposeful, and strikes just the right balance of form, flow, and function.

An extremely creative, forever optimist with a curious mind about all possibilities – her home design work mixes old and new elements, color, texture, and pattern, resulting in an aesthetic that is a reflection of the client’s lifestyle, vision, and story.

She starts her design process with a simple question, “what is the end goal?” This way of thinking keeps projects on schedule and budget and ensures everyone is focused on the desired end result.

A sought-after Tampa interior designer and tastemaker – Karen is an HGTV designer, a regular home décor expert on the nationally syndicated show Daytime TV, and our local FOX network. She is also a broadcast and content contributor for the National Association of Realtors, and her work has appeared in Architectural Digest, Tampa Bay Magazine, and The Dupont Registry among other media outlets.

A lifetime student, Karen has studied the masters of architecture and design, art and style history, construction, lighting, and color principles and theory, as well as innovations in building, materials, and finishes. She stays abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and resources by attending top furniture markets, continuing education, and through her rich network of US and world suppliers.

Her career started in Texas after studying fashion and working as a visual merchandiser for top luxury brands. Later, she founded an advertising agency and then became an international branding expert, addressing audiences around the globe on visual design/perception, branding, and entrepreneurship. She is also a twice-published business author of “Brain Tattoos” (AMACOM) and “Brand Turnaround” (McGraw Hill).

When she is not thinking about a design project, which is a very rare moment, she loves enjoying culinary, art, sports, and travel adventures with her husband, Eric Vogt, and when possible with their four-legged Shichon, Lincoln.

Meredith Wehrell interior designerMeredith Wehrell – designer

Meredith loves artisan-crafted furniture, delicate details on home accessories, and transforming spaces into rooms of desire. An astute listener, she takes the time to understand clients’ preferences, needs, and goals. This personalized process ensures that every project is tailored and curated to their unique vision.

Meredith trained at the Interior Designers Institute in Newport, CA, where she studied the principles of design, color theory, lighting, wellness environments, and smart home technologies. Later, she earned her certification in the art and science of home staging for real estate marketing.

A third-generation Tampa native who grew up in South Tampa, she attended Berkeley Prep and went on to get her BA in Communications from Tulane University in New Orleans. She later completed a graduate program at the University of Florida.

Meredith is married to her husband, Michael, and together they have five children. Meredith’s two grown sons, Marshall and Stephen Echevarria, who are recent graduates of Florida State University, live and work in Tampa.

When Meredith is not working, she is nurturing her plants, being a cat mom, exercising, and enjoying this amazing city!
